Beginning July 1, 2018, H drives are no longer provisioned for NEW student accounts.  Students do have access to Google Drive for cloud-based storage.

Students can request H drives here.

  1. Login to eduroam

Follow the instructions below for Windows:

Windows 7Windows 10
  1. Go to Start and click Computer
  2. Click Map Network Drive
  3. From the Drive drop down menu, select H:
  4. Type in \\filer.uncc.edu\home\username (replace < username > with your NinerNET username)
  5. Click Finish
  6. When the Enter network credentials windows comes up, type in unccharlotte-nt\username
    (replace < username > with your NinerNET username) and your NinerNET password
  7. Click OK
  1. Open File Explorer
  2. Right click on the Network section and click Map Network Drive

  3. From the Drive drop down menu, select H:
  4. Type in \\filer.uncc.edu\home\username (replace < username > with your NinerNET username)
  5. Click Finish
  6. When the Enter network credentials windows comes up, type in unccharlotte-nt\username
    (replace < username > with your NinerNET username) and your NinerNET password

  7. Click OK

Follow these instructions for Macs:

  1. From the Finder Menu bar at the top of your screen, click Go

    1. Click Connect to Server
    2. In the Server Address: field, type smb://filer.uncc.edu/home/username(replace < username > with your NinerNET username)
    3. Click Connect
  2. When the dialog box appears, enter your NinerNET username and password to authenticate
