Note

Connecting to Citrix via the web provides basic access; connecting to the Citrix Receiver is recommended when use of the computer's local drives (C: drive, CD/DVD Drives, USB drives) and printers are required while using Citrix. To download and install the Citrix Receiver, please see this FAQ

  1. Login to Citrix through the Citrix Receiver

  2. When connected to Citrix, the Citrix server automatically redirects, or "maps," local and network drives

    1. Local drives are drives on the physical computer you are using

    2. Network drives are drives located on the network (H: drive, etc)

     

Saving to your Network Drives

Saving to your local drives

  1. To save files to your network H: drive:
    1. Go to File > Save As
    2. Select This PC
    3. Select the folder with your username
  2. To save files to other network drives:
    1. Go to File > Save As
    2. Select Browse
    3. Select the Network Drive where you want to save the file
  1. To save files to your local Desktop:
    1. Go to File > Save As
    2. Click Browse
    3. Select Local Disk (C:) > Users
    4. Choose the folder for your username
    5. Select the Desktop folder
  2. To save files to a USB or other local drive:
    1. Go to File > Save As
    2. Click Browse
    3. Select the Local Disk associated with the device you want to save the file
       

Warning

The Desktop option under the This PC heading it will save to your Citrix desktop folder which is located on the H: drive and not the local desktop on the computer you are using.
