Using Native Apple MailUsing Google's Gmail App
  1. Be sure you have enabled IMAP
  2. Open the Settings app on your device; click Mail, Contacts, Calendars
  3. Click Add Account...
  4. Select Google
  5. Enter your Name(this is the name that will display when you send an email), email 'UserName@uncc.edu', and other required information.
    1. The login options may vary depending on iOS
      1.  iOS 8.2 and earlier may look like this:

        • Enter your full University email address (username@uncc.edu, not your alias); Click Sign In
        • You should be sent to the UNCC web authentication page. Enter your NinerNET credentials and click Log In
  6. Click Next and select what you want to sync
  7. Tap Save; you will now see the new account listed
  8. By default, conversation view is turned on and can be turned off following the steps here
  9. When searching for messages, make sure you expand the thread if using conversation view
  1. Download the free Gmail app from the App Store
  2. Open the Gmail app and go to the app settings in the bottom left corner; click Add Another Account
  3. Enter your University email address (not your alias); Click Sign In
  4. You should be sent to the UNCC web authentication page. Enter your NinerNET credentials and click Log In
  5. You should now see the account listed in the app; Click Done
  6. You should now see your University email and be able to manage any other Gmail accounts directly in the app

If you get an error message that your username/password are incorrect, verify that you typed your email address and NinerNET password correctly.  If the issue continues, try resetting your NinerNET password via PWManager and then try setup again.
