Google Meet is the online meeting platform with phone and video conferencing. Google Meet is accessible from within the Gmail web interface and offers live closed captioning.

  1. Currently, Google is allowing up to 250 participants per Google Meet call - available until September 30, 2020.

  2. Google Meet integrates with Google Suite.
  3. Hosts can enable a live closed captioning option.

  4. Google Meet does not offer a way to generate an attendee list - if you need to have a list of participants in a meeting (e.g. for class attendance), use WebEx.


Google Chat is Google's team messaging tool.
